Welcome to EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni
You are visiting the website of the "Dinosaurs & Alumni Network" of the European Geography Association for Students and young Geographers (EGEA)
EGEA is a vivid community of young people, who are connected to Geography in Europe. For more than 20 years this network brings students of Geography and related disciplines successfully together. This is mainly based on the organisation and execution of congresses, seminars and bilateral entity exchanges. During these events scientific work as well as soft skills in organisation and communication are trained.
And it seems that the prosperous story of EGEA continues!
EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni would like to continue this story of success!
What is EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni?
The network of EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni consists of still active and former EGEA members, who participated for a certain period in EGEA and want to stay in contact with each other beyond the time of their studies.
Therefore EGEA Alumni was founded in 2005 as independent network and renamed into EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni in 2009, in order to include also still active and but quite experienced EGEA members on the edge from student life to working life.
What are our aims?
EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni stands for the interface between the professional and the student world within the EGEA network. Our main objectives are:
- Distribution of job offer and internship to EGEA students and Alumni (job database)
- Scientific and practical guidance for EGEA students (expert’s database)
- Promotion of the EGEA association
- Providing organisational or scientific knowledge for EGEA events (e.g. as workshop leaders)
- And beyond this, EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni offers the possibility of staying in contact with each other, is organizing internal events like annual weekends, seminars or leisure activities for old friends.
Next to a forum for discussion and announcements the website of EGEA Dinosaurs & Alumni provides to its members an expert's database, a job database and the distribution of a newsletter, which informs about current activities and organisational issues within the Alumni group and the EGEA Association.
All still active & experienced EGEA members and Alumni are invited to join this network!
