The role of dinos & alumni - from strategic plan into practice

"We identify EGEA Alumni, with its human resources of experienced and qualified people, as an inevitable partner who can function as a specific knowledge-base providing scientific and practical guidance as well as a link between the student and the professional world sharing their networking potential."
(EGEA Strategic Plan 2009-2012, page 7.)
Do Dinos & Alumni have such a statement, as an independent body, in our aims? In the other words: what are we looking for thinking of the cooperation with EGEAns (mostly students)?
Before looking for the modes of cooperation let's think - why?
To initiate the discussion I can tell about my benefits, in my job (officer in Suwałki Poviat Starosty). I can help to organize an EGEA event in Suwałki Region in order:
1. to refresh the ideas for the local development of Suwałki Region (Poland),
2. to promote my region among the young active Europeans,
3. to stay in touch with international network of geographers - potentially local authorities of other regions.
Please, write about the benefits in your fields of work as geographers. Maybe we will think out kind of cooperation assumptions?
